E408 – Current & Critical – Tracey Bodnarchuk, Canada Powered by Women: Insights on the Energy Conversation across Canada

Our approach is to be balanced and be in the middle, and that’s what the women want as well. They are not interested in all-or-nothing scenarios.
— Tracey Bodnarchuk, (18:30)

The energy sector is in constant flux, facing challenges like energy security, affordability, environmental issues, and public perceptions (especially in non-Western provinces). As these issues took precedence, the need for pragmatic voices in energy policy became increasingly apparent, so Tracey and others came together to found Canada Powered by Women. Tracey distinguishes the difference between "engaged" and "tuned in" women and how their behaviour, not demographics, defines them. By empowering women to share in a safe space, we can find balance and stability in conversations, leading to a holistic approach to these critical topics. This episode will inform and inspire you about our shared energy future and highlight the importance of informed decisions and depoliticization on vital issues.
